Native Plant Seminars

Do you want to get started gardening with native plants, but aren't sure what to plant where? Well, I'm a frustrated (but completely qualified!) botany professor turned nursery owner, author and entrepreneur, and I'm offering six Native Plant Seminars on Saturdays during the late winter and early spring 2009 (with more to come later in the year). Seminars take place from 9:45 am until 12:00 pm in the Bill deWeese Classroom at the lovely Hoyt Arboretum in Portland. For $25 you get two informative PowerPoint slide shows, about an hour each, plus coffee, tea and tasty snacks. Copies of the encyclopedia and selected native plants will also be available for sale. You can buy tickets as a gift or buy them at the door, but give me a call or e-mail in advance to register and reserve a seat. Cash, checks, Visa and Master Card are all accepted.
